Holding Elections On Its Time A Vital Issue For Afghans, Karzai

Kabul (BNA) A number of elders, dignitaries and youth of Bamyan province in a meeting with President Hamid Karzai enumerated their local problems.
Representing the others, Karimi Bamyani and Ali Akbar Akhlaqi detailed the meeting which was held at presidential palace the other day.
They expressed happiness related to efforts made in various sectors during the past few years in the province saying those positive changes made during the past 12 years in the country would never be forgotten by Afghan people.
The participants considered attending the national process of presidential elections as right of each Afghan, asking all Afghans to take part in this national process.
Stressing on national unity, justice and living in a peaceful environment, they said upcoming president should pay full consideration for implementing this principle.
During the meeting, elders of Bamyan asked for maintaining security along Kabul-Bamyan road and acceleration of work process on ring road, Bamyan local hospital and airport, following, Hamid Karzai, considered holding presidential elections as a vital issue for Afghans and stressed on holding this national process in the country.
Hamid Karzai said upcoming president should be a person who keep the country in unity and bring peace and stability in the country.
The president assured that Afghanistan is stepping towards improvement.
At the end of the meeting, Hamid Karzai instructed relevant organs for solution of various problems of Bamyan people.
