President Hamid Karzai met on Wednesday with Indian National Security Advisor, Mr. Shiv Shankar Menon.
The meeting, in which Dr. Spanta Afghan National Security Advisor was also present, focused on issues of mutual importance including the situation in the region as well as expanded cooperation.
Describing the bilateral relations as historic, both sides urged on stronger economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
Mr. Shankar once again reaffirmed his country’s continued assistance to Afghanistan.
