President Ghani Meets Turkmen Deputy for Council Of Ministers

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Wednesday evening with deputy of council of ministers of Turkmenistan. In the meeting held at presidential palace, both sides exchanged view and discussed expansion of relations between the countries in various sectors including development of TAPI project, transmission of electricity and optical fiber, trade cooperation and construction of Aqina-Andkhoy railway. Deputy for council of ministers of Turkmenistan said that the government and people of Turkmenistan were interested in expansion of good relations and economic cooperation with Afghanistan, adding that there were good facilities for economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. President Ghani while praising deputy for council of ministers of Turkmenistan for creating coordination in signing preliminary agreement for investment in the TAPI project expressed Afghanistan’s commitment for continued and overall supporting the TAPI project, saying that Afghanistan was ready to pay share part in preliminary stage of investment.
