US Troops In Helmand Help War On Terror Get Success

Kabul (BNA) The US officials said that hundreds of troops are expected to be deployed in Southern volatile province of Helmand in order to support Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
Releasing a statement, the spokesman of the US army said that these troops are being sent to Helmand to improve security and advise ANSF. Deployment of these troops was already planned either to further protect current advisors or support efforts for equipping, training and improvement of 215 corps. The MoD spokesman BG Dawlat Wazsiri said, “These troops are expected to be deployed in Helmand province under the Resolute Support Mission and their only purpose is support, training and advice of ANSF.” “We welcome this step”, he added. Dawlat Waziri further added that the ANA has a training center in Helmand province in which the US troops can support and advise them as the Afghan war is war against terrorism. Therefore the foreign troops or those countries, who want to get rid of terrorism, should support ANSF. Touching the war in Helmand and ANSF moral, MoD spokesman said,” At present the ANSF are fighting the insurgents with high morale and we want to assure our people that collapse of a district or a province is unlikely. But the war pressure is in Helmand and the ANSF are ready with essential combat capabilities and high spirit to repulse enemies’ attacks.
MoI deputy spokesman Najeeb Danish said, “Presence of these troops beside ANSF will be continued and with positive outcome in war on terror and the US troops will play vital role in Helmand war.” “So far most of the US troops mission has been restricted to air support which has frankly been inserted in BSA. In case of need and attack on their bases they can operate”, he added. A number of experts and lawmakers called concerning ongoing insecurities and emphasized that still Afghanistan is a victim of terrorism and these groups pose threats to stability and security of this country. So the RSM long term support of the ANSF is an urgent need.
Hashimi a lawmaker said, “Afghanistan is one of those countries who has given more victims in war on terror. Therefore NATO, US supports should be continued from this country. Because the ANSF are still facing serious challenges including shortages of military equipment and are in dire need of world community support. A number of military experts believe that the NATO should support ANSF for many years following the troops’ withdrawal and enable them to fight insurgents. Retired Col. Mohaiuddin said, “Achievements of ANSF have increase public support to them. People expect NATO to continue and increase its support of ANSF.” Suraya Raiszada
