Khalili Instructs Related Organs For Delivering Of Aid To Flood Affected Families

Kabul (BNA) A number of elders and influential of Jaghuris district of Ghazni province met with second vice-president Mohammad Karim Khalili.
While the people’s deputies at the parliament from the area and some member of provincial’s council of Ghazni province were present, the elders shared their problems with Khalili.
According to them the recent floods in the Jaghuri district has brought about serious damages to the people of the area but so far no assistance has been provided to them.
They said that many of their homes have been partially or wholly damaged, tens of families were displaced, agricultural lands and their fruit-bearing trees, animals were perished and they are facing shortage of potable water and the transport ways have been closed.
These have created serious problems for the community and they asked the national disaster committee and other related organs to assist the affected families.
They also asked for dispatching of a delegation for assessment of losses to the people and addressing their problems.
They also companied over security problems in the province and the transport ways of districts and asked the leadership of the government to undertake immediate measures in improving the security there.
They also touched on problems in respect to education, reconstruction of intakes in Sang Surakh of Jaghuri recently destroyed in flood.
Khalili regretted the losses to the people in recent floods, and assured them that attention will be directed at addressing their problems and emphasized on dispatching of the delegation to the area.
Khalili noted that national disaster committee has already decided that no affected will be ignored and all the affected families will be assisted in the country.
He issued instruction to the related organs to deliver aid to the flood affected families of Jaghuri.
In respect to security he said that efforts are in the process for improving security in the province and hopefully these efforts will fruit positive outcomes.
