NUG Welcomes Pak Parliamentary Delegation Visit to Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Pakistan’s Parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq met President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani after holding meetings with chairmen of both lower and upper house of parliament here yesterday, a presidential statement said.
According to the statement, the National Unity Government (NUG) welcomed the visit of Pakistan’s parliamentary delegation, calling such visits useful for exchanging of views and establishing an atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding between the people of two countries.
“Establishing of ties and mutual understanding between the two country’s people could improve coordination in fight against terrorists. Afghan government looking for such continued visits to help establish an atmosphere of trust and put end to previous mistrusts,” the statement added. Welcoming goodwill of the Pakistani delegation, the national unity government called the visit on the interest of both nations, aiming to bring peace and stability in the region. The government hoped the visit could result to implementation of the commitments made by Pakistan during tripartite meetings and many other meetings on Afghanistan, the statement concluded.
