Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, on Tuesday strongly condemned terrorist attack on the private Shamshad TV and said the group could never prevent freedom of expression and media, BNA reported.
The agency quoting the president said that the incident was an attack to the freedom of expression and media and that the enemies of the country would never be able to restrict the achievements of the government, which are based on the country’s constitution.
“The government of Afghanistan would firmly take security of media entities and journalists who are working for providing information in the country, region and the world to share with the people,” said the agency quoting the statement from the presidential palace. The president extended his deep condolence and sympathy to the bereaved families of those killed and wished immediate recovery to those wounded in the terrorist attack.
