Meeting of Heart of Asia Countries Held In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) The fifth meeting of senior officials of Istanbul process held in Kabul yesterday.
Chaired by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of Foreign Ministry Jawid Ludeen, in presence of Temur Urezaiov senior representative of Kazakhstan, the objective of the meeting is strengthening of atmosphere of trust and practical cooperation among the countries of Heart of Asia.
Jawed Ludeen told the meeting that Afghanistan within the framework of Istanbul process in the past one and half years could not shape new viewpoints in the regional cooperation and the role of Afghanistan in the heart of Asia process.
He thanked all neighbors of Afghanistan especially the countries of heart of Asia for their support and appreciation over the viewpoints of Afghanistan.
He added that the future of Afghanistan, welfare and the importance of Afghanistan are linked with the future and welfare and importance of Afghanistan in Asia.
The representative of Kazakhstan called Istanbul process as very important and added that this process has been established for growth of cooperation and regional cooperation.
Kazakhstan has been host to the second meeting of this process.
Nikolas Hasisem deputy special envoy of the UN secretary General for Afghanistan was another speaker of this meeting.
He said that the UN and its Office in Kabul is committed to support its holding and its decisions.
During the meeting Janan Mosazai spokesperson of Foreign Ministry said that 14 countries are participants to this meeting including Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russian Federation, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan newly attending this meeting.
Other countries including the US, Britain, Italy, France, Norway, Australia, Canada, Germany, Egypt, Iraq, Denmark, Sweden, EU, the UN and other countries are attending as observers.
He also called the aim of this meeting further strengthening of trust and practical cooperation among the these countries including strengthening of trade, economic relations, border issues, struggle against natural calamities growth of education and joint opportunities among the countries are important aims of this meeting.
