President Ghani Returns Home

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his accompanying delegation were warmly welcomed by Qatar Minister of Environment and Urban Development, Mohammad Bin-e-Abdullah Al-Romihi, when they reached Doha International Airport, his office said in a statement the other day.
In his meeting with Qatar Amir Deputy, representing the government and people of Afghanistan, President Ghani expressed his condolence and sympathy over the death of Qatar Former Amir, ShaikhKhalifa Bin-e-Hamd Al-Thanito him, the deceased family and Qatar people and wished the late soil may rest in peace, the statement further said. President Ghani also met with Qatar Prime Minister in his residence and condoled him over the death of Qatar Former Amir, the statement added. According to the statement, in the meeting, both sides also exchanged views on bolstering relations between the two countries, the statement added. Furthermore, in his visit to Qatar, President Ghani also met with the country’s foreign minister, during which both sides exchanged views on tightening relations between the two countries. In the meeting, Qatar Foreign Minister said that his country’s Amir, ShaikhTamim Bin-e-Hamd Al-Thani has decided to establish Qatar embassy in Afghanistan. Calling both countries as friend, President Ghani welcomed Qatar Amir decision on opening that country’s embassy in Afghanistan, adding he will spare no effort to further enhance relations between the two countries. President Ghani and his accompanying delegation returned home on Wednesday afternoon.
