President Ghani Meets Khost ANDSF Officials

Kabul (BNA) During his visit to Khost, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, attended a session of the province’s senior military officials and heard their security plans’ report, the presidential palace said in a statement on Monday.
Presenting a report on Khost security situation, security officials thanked the president for his attention on security issues and assured that the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) would do their best to foil the enemies’ vicious plans, according to the statement.
Lauding the ANDSF efforts on defending the country, the president while praying to armed forces’ martyrs, instructed the organs concerned to address the problems being faced by martyrs and injured people families, the statement added.
The president while reviewing the province’s security situation, tasked the security officials to step up on ensuring security of upcoming elections and don’t let the ANDSF to interfere in election process, the statement continued.
He also instructed the security organs to establish a regular combat plan and suppress the enemy so further heed is paid on ensuring security throughout the province.
According to another report, President Ghani met a number of Khost women, during which they shared their problems in different fields particularly, education, higher education, health, women economic growth and violence against women.
During the meeting, Khost governor Hakam Khan Habibi while welcoming the president called women role key in scientific and cultural sections, adding 330000 students go to schools in his province, 100000 of whom are boys and the rest are girls.
After hearing the problems and suggestions of Khost province women, President Ghani seriously ordered the province’s mayor to utilize the women park.
The president added this is good news that hundreds of girls have attended the schools and giving ‘Baad’ has reach to zero, a move indicating cultural growth in Khost.
At the end, addressing the women, the president said your effectiveness was that you were well-informed on Islamic and national values and could use them to improve your economic, cultural and educational situation.
