Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani who is visiting Iran to attend the 8th meeting of the association of the radios and televisions of the Islamic countries met the head of the association Ali Karimian in Tehran yesterday, BNA reported.
Accompanied by Afghanistan ambassador to Iran, Nasir Ahmad Noor, minister Jahani who is attending the conference at the invitation of Karimian, also attended a banquet during which he met with a number of the guests from different Islamic countries. Minister Jahani also visited the historic Palace of Gulistan Kakh in Tehran and national museum as well as the carpet museum. The association of radios and televisions of the Islamic countries with having more than 200 members is the largest association of media outlets in the world which holds its annual general assembly in Tehran with the participation of delegates from 35 countries. The two-day 8th general assembly of the association begins on August 16 this year.
