President Ghani Meets Agha Khan Foundation’s Graduated Doctors

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met on Sunday with fourteen doctors graduated after completing trainings in seven different sections with the Agha Khan Foundation, his office said in a statement.
In the meeting which was also attended by First Lady, Rola Ghani and head of administration affairs, Abdul Salam Azimi, the graduated doctors who had been trained by French Medical Institute for four years and in Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi for three months expressed glad on successful termination of their training period, according to the statement.
The doctors completed their training with the financial support of the France government asked the government to pave the ground for further professional trainings, the statement added.
President Ghani expressed optimisms regarding the graduation of the doctors and said the trainings they have received will help in offering better health services which were not available in the country before, the statement quoted the president as saying.
The president urged the fresh graduates to hold a meeting with his health adviser in a bid to arrange further trainings or job opportunities.
According to President Ghani, the construction of a standard hospital by the Agha Khan Foundation will further help the new graduates and other doctors to have better work opportunities.
In his turn, the head of the French Medical Institute in Kabul Dr. Abdullah Fahim said the hospital is well equipped to provide health services for heart and eye patients as it has grown from its preliminary phase to a medium state.
He added that the French Medical Institute is ready to pave the ground for Afghan doctors’ expertise facilities.
