Pistachio Forests Should Be Developed, Dignitaries

Kabul (BNA) The dignitaries of Badghis province in their meeting with president Hamid Karzai asked that the pistachio forests in Badghis province should be developed. 
According to presidential press office, during the meeting which was held yesterday at presidential palace, the dignitaries of Badghis province said that in the past, 93 hectares forests of pistachio was existed in this province, but because of shortage of fuel materials, the people sort to cutting of forests. 
They demanded from government to prevent cutting of pistachio forests and pay further attention for development of forests. 
Likewise, the representatives of Badghis evaluating traditional loya jirga as great national pride and added that in this jirga really there was sincerity and common consideration with important and national issues among representatives in loya jirga. 
After hearing the requirements of the proposals of dignitaries of Badghis province, president Karzai said that to  remove this problem and expand the forests of pistachio in Badghis province, in next CM meeting I would instruct the ministry of agriculture and irrigation. 
Afterwards, Mohammad Yaqoub Shams and Mirza Hassan, representing others spoke and asked the government to speed up rehabilitation and asphalting of roads and rehabilitation of schools in this province. 
At the end, President Hamid Karzai instructed the organs concerned to solve other problems of Badghis province.
