Kabul (BNA) Prof. Salam Azimi Chief Justice and Acting Chairman of Supreme Court met with Kamal Hussian specialist and legal advisor of the UNDP in New York and discussed joint plans of the Supreme Court and the UN office.
At the meeting Prof. Azimi initially discussed joint program concluded within the framework of justice at district levels between the supreme court and the UN and called the role of the UN in reconstruction of buildings of the courts at district levels in the country and carrying of training programs aimed at upgrading the professional awareness of judges as positive and asked the delegation to speed up in implementing the programs and render efforts that by understanding the needs of the judiciary especially in physical infrastructures of courts that are mainly needed in districts of the country.
Dr. Kamal Hussain said at the meeting that their commitment towards strengthening of physical infrastructures of courts at district levels will be continued and they are exerting efforts that in continued contact with the Supreme Court by assessment of physical status of courts meet their needs in terms of court structures.
