Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai held a bilateral meeting on Thursday afternoon with Villy Sovndal, Foreign Minister of Denmark, who congratulated President Karzai on the successful conclusion of the Kabul Ministerial Conference.
He described President Karzai’s remarks in the conference as comprehensive and said Denmark, which currently holds EU’s rotating presidency, will continue to stand by the people of Afghanistan.
President Karzai thanked Minister Sovndal for his participation to the Conference and thanked Denmark for all its assistance over the past years to Afghanistan.
There were also discussions that centered on Afghanistan’s economic development and the recovery of state institutions for a stronger rule of law and democracy in Afghanistan.
