Kabul (BNA) Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance met Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin, EU special representative in Afghanistan, Pernille Dahler Kardel, deputy special representative for United Nation’s Assistance Mission and representatives of donor institutions, the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting discussed government preparation for election, prevision of budget, financial facility for this procedure and its procurement process, system building and effectively usage of technology for transparent election in the presence of officials from Independent Election Commission and electronic Identity Cards, the statement added.
It is confirmed that a joint committee of government & donors’ representatives should be formed for the better progress of affairs and transparency of the election process.
