MoIC, US Govt. To Sign Agreement On Returning Artifacts

Kabul (BNA) Sayed Musaddiq Khalili, deputy information and culture ministry of cultural affairs in meeting with professor Gill Stain, the director of institute for east research in Chicago University and culture attaché to US embassy here stressed for early inking agreement between the Ministry of Information and culture (MoIC) and United States of America for returning Afghan relics and preserving of archeological sites in Afghanistan.
According to BNA, in the meeting, Khalili said that since Afghanistan and US are the members of the International conventions to preserve UNESCO’s cultural heritages, inking the agreement would help return thousands of artifacts had been smuggled outside Afghanistan during decades of war.
