Kabul (BNA) Afghan security forces by discovering and defusing 20 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several bloodiest incidents in southern Kandahar, Helmand, Urozgan and Zabul provinces.
Atal army corps by sending a statement issued BNA, the mines have been planted by enemies of the country in crowded areas of the mentioned province to target innocent civilians and Afghan security troops.
No individual or group has commented regarding foiled mine plantings, but security officials in the south of the country claiming that Taliban fighters are responsible for the mine plantings.
The mines have been discovered by Afghan security forces with cooperation of local people, the source added.
