President Ghani Chairs NSC

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Security Council meeting discussed issues on the security of some provinces including Helmand, Oruzgan, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Kunar, Ghor and Baghlan, where the security forces showed bravery against the insurgents.
A statement from the presidential office said that the president issued needed instructions for ensuring security of the said provinces.
The Security Council denounced the recent Pakistani provocative act to violate the Turkham border and lauded the country’s border guards’ on alert reaction against them and emphasized on removal of the problem through a diplomatic source, the statement added.
The council also discussed the issue of illegally issuing Afghan passport in some foreign countries and instructed for management of the process through the Afghan diplomatic sources based in the foreign countries, according to the statement. Vehicles with no number-plate had been said to be prevented to commute in the city, as they had been highly feared to be misused, with the related organs had been asked for soon taking step in this field.
The council indorsed the draft law in principle on the Warsaw meeting for which Afghanistan is preparing to take active part.
