Continuation Of Cross-border Shelling Lays Negative Impact On Bilateral Ties: FM

Kabul (BNA) Afghan Minister of Foreign Affairs asked the world community to achieve their undertakings and their assistance to Afghanistan through the government channels.
Dr. Zalmai Rasul Minister of Foreign Affairs his request in his recent address to the UN Security Council.
Calling the Tokyo Conference as a new chapter in relations of Afghanistan with the world community expressed the hope that the world community should carry on their undertakings through the main budget and harmonization thereof with the National Development strategy of Afghanistan.
He reiterated that struggle against corruption, strengthening of the government pillar and consolidation of national sovereignty is remaining a key priority for the government of Afghanistan.
He also mentioned the decree No 45 of the presidential office as an example in this respect. He also mentioned of multi-lateral agreements with the powerful countries as a manifestation of seeking a legitimate place at the world arena and added that these can be utilized as basic factors in the joint struggle against with two ugly phenomenon of terrorism and extremism and to reach peace and future stability.
Addressing the UN Security Council mentioned the continued efforts of the government of Afghanistan for attaining peace and national reconciliation.
He called the peace process as an Afghan process and once again asked the opposition who are ready to stop violence and to cut their relations with the terrorist groups and accept the Constitution they can joint this process.
He considered the role of the UN Security Council in supporting of the peaceable efforts of the government of Afghanistan as very important and considered deletion of the names of some of the Taliban members from the black list of the UN as significant that can encourage those group of the Taliban who have tendencies towards peace process to joint this process.
He expressed concern over the civilian casualties in the war in Afghanistan for which Taliban and other extremist groups are responsible.
Dr. Zalmai Rasoul called the continuation of the rocket and artillery attacks of Pakistan on the territories of Afghanistan as a factor for hatred and indignation of the people of Afghanistan.
He asked for termination of these attacks and added that its continuation can bear negative outcomes on relations between the two nations.
He reiterated that the government of Afghanistan is committed towards ensuring transparency in elections and free from foreign interferences.
