Lashkargah (BNA) Three people were lost their lives and six others have been injured as a result of flooding in Helmand last night.
Heavy rains eventually caused floods and swept through Nawa and Kajaki districts and Lashkargah city.
Omar Zwak spokesman for Helmand governor told BNA, three people were lost their lives and at least six others were injured in the floods.
Floods in Lashkargah, Nawa and Kajaki districts caused major financial damage, he added, however, flood affected people need urgent humanitarian assistance.
Local officials in Helmand say they have begun distributing aid to flood affected people with local and international aids agencies.
