Kabul (BNA) The chief executive officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Ms. Noor Jahan Mawani the envoy of His Majesty Prince Karim Agha Khan the spiritual leader of Ismailia sect in the world, here the other day.
In the meeting, the envoy besides congratulating Dr. Abdullah over assuming office and conveying the best wishes of prince Agha Khan to the chief executive officer, she also assured Agha Khan Foundation’s support to the national unity government. Expressing gratitude over Agha Khan Foundation support in the rebuilding process of Afghanistan, the chief executive officer said he is hopeful to see more assistance of the Agha Khan foundation to Afghanistan in future. According to another report, the chief executive officer, Dr. Abdullah also met UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan Jan Kubis, in his office the other day.
In the meeting, the UN special envoy besides expressing happiness over the formation of national unity government and thanked Dr. Abdullah over his cooperation with the international community in tackling the crisis. The chief executive also thanked Jan Kubis for his efforts as UN envoy during the elections process and wished him success. Dr. Abdullah also hoped that UNAMA in cooperation with the national unity government plays its role in solving the problems of the people of Afghanistan.
