Seminar On Copyright Held

Kabul (BNA) A three-day seminar on the rights of publishers, writers, authors and lawyers to discuss the law on copy right was opened in the Ministry for Information and Culture with the support of Attar project.
According to BNA, in his opening remarks at the seminar, Nabi Farahi the deputy on Finance and Administrative with the Ministry  for Information and Culture pointed out that it is the first time that the system of copy right is being projected and needs to develop it.
“With implementation of the law of copy right we can safeguard the rights of author, publisher and identify their ownership,” Farahi said, adding no one has the right to publish a book in the name of one person while the book is written by other. 
To give awareness on copy right it requires holding seminars with participation of the writers, publishers and science academy of Afghanistan, calling on the participants to boost awareness on copy rights through radio, television and newspapers.
Lawyer advisor in Atar entity, Ahmad Sahar in his speech said that the body would continue efforts to give awareness on copy rights to the publishers and authors to enjoy their rights.
