Kabul (BNA) The representatives of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, and US today hold a quadripartite session in Islamabad aiming to revive the peace negotiation process in Afghanistan.
BNA political analyst commenting on the issue writes the high-ranking representatives of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, and US start their quadripartite session in Islamabad aiming to revive the Afghan peace process negotiations.
According to diplomats in Kabul the participants of the session, will discuss on a peace plan and establishment of a mechanism to precisely assess the agreements achieved and commitments made in the session in order to be practical and realistic.
The current Quadripartite session of Islamabad is been holding in time, the first round of Islamabad peace negotiations held in early October, but the second round of peace talks delayed due the death of Mullah Omer the leader of Taliban. Since then Taliban have divided to several sections.
In addition to this, the increasing terroristic attacks in Kabul and cities made the Afghan government to blame the Pakistani authorities for not having the same definition from terrorism and recruiting, training, and equipping Taliban on other side of Durand Line. However, then the Heart of Asia session was held and General Sharif the Pakistani army chief visited Kabul and made new commitments regarding restoring peace in Afghanistan. Meanwhile other countries among them United States of America and China who have close and strategic ties with Pakistan talking about the honesty of Pakistan invited Afghan authorities to attend in a meeting with Pakistan in their presence.
Afghan politicians believe Pakistan will act differently and sincerely this time.
Although the move of Pakistan is following with optimism in Kabul, but political experts’ advice Afghan authorities considering the previous experiences they should emphasize on negotiation table that the two countries US and China that play the role of observers in the negotiations and have close strategic and military relations with Pakistan should guarantee the outcome of the quadripartite session. Because, the Afghan people expect China and US much more than they themselves believe.
It should noted that Afghanistan considers its problem as a regional, beyond regional and even international problem and the Afghan people and its security forces are battling terrorism and extremism these horrible and destructive forces in the frontlines. Giving many sacrifices so far, the Afghan brave security forces have succeeded to prevent the advancement of those brutal and barbaric forces to the parts of world. China and the United States of America clearly know that terrorism and extremism is not a problem of a specific country but as mentioned earlier it is a regional, beyond regional and even global problem, therefore, the role of the two countries that enjoy great influence on Pakistan is of great importance in settling the problem.
It has expected, at quadripartite session, the Afghan problem be considered as regional and beyond regional problem, its external factors assessed and guide those who are using tourists as a means against other countries to achieve their ambitious goals in the region.
The Afghan people expect and insist that the quadripartite session be the beginning constructive and true negotiations that present a peace plan that guarantee the regional and beyond regional stability and this way, Afghans suffering people after decades exercise peace and tranquility.
