Malaysia is Ready to Cooperate in Sector of Trade with Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of industry and commerce Nooruddin Azizi Late Saturday had a video chat with Economy Minister Mustafa bin Mohammed and a number of Malaysian officials.

According to BNA reports, the two sides discussed economic, trade and investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Trade called Malaysia friend of Afghanistan and said: “Malaysia has had a peaceful attitude towards Afghanistan for the past 40 years and our people will never forget it.”

Azizi also inducts that Malaysia has good experience in investing in Afghanistan and in cooperation between the two countries in the fields of mining, infrastructure, especially highways, railways, electricity and oil production, therefore, the two countries can have effective cooperation in these sectors.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian side mentioned the cooperation with Afghanistan in the field of banking and said that Malaysia is ready to cooperate with successful experiences in the sectors of logistics such as imports and exports.

At the end of the discussion, the two sides agreed to establish specialized teams in Kabul and Kuala Lumpur to work more closely on the technical issues of investing in Afghanistan.
