Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the first session of high council for reduction of poverty delivering services and citizen partnership was held the other day at presidential place.
In the session, President Ghani and members of the council discussed procedure, legal basis, tasks and responsibilities, working area, structures and principle of decisions of the council.
The country’s President said that the council aimed at reduction of poverty and finding of causes of poverty in the country so the government could fundamentally counter poverty through regular programs.
President Ghani further said that national unity government should focus on deprived part of the people because no changes have seen occurred in life of this part of people so far, adding that salary paying system of government employees was not satisfactory and problems were existed in pension system too, which should be amended.
Pointing to Afghan returnees, the country’s President said during the past few year, five million countrymen have returned their homes and from 3-t million others would return their country during the coming ten years.
