NUG Welcomes Blacklisting Daesh By U.S.

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Kabul (BNA) Recently, U.S. Department of State has announced that it has blacklisted Daesh terrorist group a move which was warmly welcomed by the National Unity Government (NUG), experts and the citizens said.
Welcoming this U.S. move, Afghanistan’s ministry of foreign said, ‘This is a good step and it can affect our fighting against terror groups.’
The ministry’s spokesperson, Shekib Mustaghni told media that this is a positive step in war on terror.
Meanwhile, a number of lawmakers welcoming the step, they stressed that the U.S. should act with other terrorist groups as same as it did with Daesh, and seriously continue fighting terrorism.
A number of political experts said, this action can weaken the Daesh group moral and they should know that their activities are prosecuted, a political expert, Jawid Kohistani said, including the members of Daesh group into the U.S. blacklist would limit their financial budget, travels and activities, because when they don’t access to sources, surely, they cannot have widespread activities.
In my opinion, naturally any step that limits the financial budget, logistic affairs and economy of the government opposition groups, can be effective on peace process, Kohistani further said.
Another political expert, Ali Rahmani believes that the U.S. besides blacklisting the Daesh group, should militarily step up against this group in Afghanistan
Because, recently, Daesh group’s presence and activities in eastern areas of Afghanistan have increased, a move which can threaten the country’s stability and security, Rahmani further said.
This is to be mentioned that recently, Daesh group is seriously threatening the eastern regions of Afghanistan and are clearly operating in some districts such as, Shinwar, Achin and Nazian of Nangarhar province.
A while ago, President Ghani in his visit to Nangarhar said that the Daesh group activities were not acceptable to him, and he ordered to all security forces to launch widespread operations and eradicate the group in eastern provinces of the country.
This is while that since fourteen years, Taliban, Haqqani Network and al-Qaeda have been seriously threatened Afghanistan, but since one recent year, Daesh group with their presence in eastern parts of the country try to insecure the areas and kill the innocent people.
