Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, a meeting was held to support the elections process, the presidential palace said in a statement on Saturday.
Attended by Independent Elections Commission (IEC) members and international partners, the president addressing the participants said Afghanistan needed unity and your teamwork.
“You are doing an important national responsibility so to transparently manage the elections process,” the president said, according to the statement.
The president stressed no one is allowed to interfere the elections process and assured that the government would do its best to ensure its security and financial resources, the statement added.
In the meeting, the international partners promised to cooperate in terms of consultation, financial and technical assistances.
