NSC Tasks Defense, Interior Ministries To Help Improve London Based Afghan Military Trainees

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai chaired the National Security Council meeting held at the presidential palace during which he apprised the participants about the recent visit of high-ranking Afghan delegation to Britain.
Calling the visit as useful, he stressed that the Afghan delegation actively participated in the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIFE) in London as well.
Meanwhile, alongside that assembly the president attended the tri-partite meeting of Afghanistan, Pakistan and British leaders that would bring in effective outcome towards ensuring of peace and stability in Afghanistan and in the region.
At the meeting, President Karzai called the training process of the security personnel in Britain as positive and issued instructions that the Ministries of Defense and Interior Affairs to prepare a comprehensive approach for improving the status of life of the Afghan military students in Britain and other European nations.
The president also emphasized on further improvement of recruitment process for military students to be dispatched to foreign countries.
In another part of the NSC, the participants discussed the security and defensive cooperation pact between Afghanistan and the US.
The NSC advisor informed the meeting participants about the progress of talks and the previous meetings on the security and defensive pact.
The meeting decided that NSC advisor share the latest approaches with the US side and discuss it with them.
It was emphasized that the final text of the security pact is translated into Pashto and Dari languages for the Consultative Loya Jirgah in appropriate time.
