India To Provide Military Equipment To ANSF As Per Afghan Govt. Demand

Kabul (BNA) Indian as one of Afghanistan’s strategic allies has vowed to provide military equipment’s to the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) as per requirements of Afghan government.
In the meantime, the Indian defense minister has said that military assistance to Afghanistan is part of the strategic cooperation partnership agreement and India is willing to honor demands of Afghan government in this respect.
Evaluating the significance of the military assistance, military analyst Jawed Kohistani said, “Military cooperation is part of the strategic cooperation agreement which was signed between Kabul and New Delhi and president Karzai during his India tour submitted list of the military equipment’s to the Indian side in the light of the provision of the bilateral strategic cooperation agreement”.
“Initially, the Indian government was dealing with the demand of Afghan government with doubt and reservations, but now India has started trusting on the Afghan government and New Delhi foresees its interests and regional stability in expanding its security and diplomatic relations with the Afghan government, Mr. Kohistani said”.
During their Kabul tour, the Indian high ranking delegation held wide-ranging discussions with the Afghan government officials over a number of important issues including Indian military aids that include transportation N32 and N26 also some other important.
He added that these weapons were available to the Afghan security forces during 80s and 90s.
It’s also important to mention that western countries are also in favor of Indian assistance to Afghanistan.
Talking to the matter, military commentator Amrullah Aman said, “India has major reputation in international scenario in the political and military grounds these days and the Indian companies are enjoying close cooperation with the American companies and most of the American air equipment’s are made in India and currently, India is one of the economic and political allies of Untied States in South Asia”.
“Efforts have been triggered for Indian permanent membership in the UN Security Council (UNSC) in order to expand Indian role in regional and global undertakings, also Afghanistan has retained historic relations with the Indian nation throughout its diplomatic and cultural history, India constitutes one of the largest donor countries to Afghanistan, Indian contributed generously in the reconstruction process of Afghanistan, military analyst Amrullah Aman said”.
In recent years, the Afghan government officials and Afghan people have strongly supported role of the Indian nation and government in political and economic stability of Afghanistan and with consideration of that expectations the Indian government funded several mega projects in Afghanistan including the Salma Dam which is completion process.
The government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has always announced that relations between Kabul-Delhi aren’t aimed to threaten interest of the third country.
