NATIONAL ECONOMIC Development, Govt. Top Priority

Kabul (BNA) National economic development constitute top most priority of government of Afghanistan and the present political administration is seeking all sources to bring the country out of the current economic scenario and lead it towards socioeconomic prosperity alongside other nations.
It’s a fact today’s world is engaged into economic combat and Afghanistan as part of human community extremely requires to devise strategic and comprehensive economic development programs in order to revive it’s revive its basic infrastructures to ensure its economic reputation in the region. Considering the upper requisites, government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as part of its national economic development programs formulated series of comprehensive economic growth initiatives that include renovation and rehabilitation of highways, roads, renovation and revival of airports, urban development programs, establishment of industrials townships, extraction of mines, foreign investments attraction programs and most importantly transfer of natural gas from central Asian region to India and establishment of railway lines which the Govt. believes that it will support Afghanistan largely in getting access to world markets and expand its trade and transit relations with regional countries.
Currently, establishment of railway tracks moves forward on a way that could revive ancient silk rout and connect Asian countries and enhance, economic, social, and political and cultural ties between the regional countries including expansion of commerce, trade and transit relations which undoubtedly retain great reputation in economic prosperity of the nations in the view of current world economic arena and the recent visit of president Karzai in Turkmenistan where he laid the foundation of Afghan-Tajik-Turkmen railway project could be part of the efforts which Afghanistan intends to undertaken for its economic growth. Establishment of Afghan-Tajik-Turkmen railway project will connect Afghanistan into international rail network. The railway project lies over 85 kilometers starting from Atta Murad of Turkmenistan toward Aqina port in Faryab province of Afghanistan and onward it move towards Hairatan Port with the length of 300 km and financial expenditures of the project has been pledged by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and implementation of the project further intensify commerce and exchange of commodities between the three nations and it will also have major vitality to the whole world.
Afghanistan as a landlocked country has confronted major challenges on way of its trade and transit relations as neighboring countries particularly Pakistan by ignoring bilateral agreements had created major barriers on way of Afghan traders in the past. But, implementation of Afghan-Tajik-Turkmen project facilities business community in Afghanistan to import their merchandizes and commodities easily and transfer their export products on time to the global markets. The project also helps Afghanistan in mines extraction sector and it would attract other companies to come forward and invest in mine extraction sector in the country.
