Kabul (BNA) Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance has participated in Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference on 25 March 2017, the ministry said in a statement.
They discussed on the “One Belt, One Road” initiative which is part of Silk Road Economic Belt in the joint venture, giving priority to building infrastructure, capacity building and mobilizing the economies of underdeveloped countries. In the meeting, Afghanistan’s proposal in regard to the mentioned OBOR initiative and private sector benefits was also taken under consideration, the statement added.
During the visit, Minister Hakimi also had an inclusive interview with China’s Central TV (CCTV) about Afghanistan’s economic situation, plans and policies for 2017, investment opportunities in Afghanistan for Chinese investors and companies as well as Afghanistan’s role in implementing the OBOR project.
