Kabul (BNA): The second international security conference with the participation of authorities and representatives of 20 world countries held in Herat yesterday.
The two-day conference held at Qala Ikhtiaruddin in addition to Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta senior national security advisor of presidential office, Sayed Fazlullah Wahedi, governor of Heart province, some ambassadors, cabinet ministers and high-ranking representatives of the European countries and the US attend the conference.
Daoud Muradyan,head of the Strategic Studies Institute of Afghanistan and the organizer of this conference said that the third security conference will be held in Herat in the coming year.
Muradyan expressed optimism over the historic background of political, cultural and social discussions of this civilization zone.
Sayed Fazlullah Wahedi welcoming the participants of the conference expressed the hope that this meeting will be acceptable.
Wahedi added that the conference in Herat indicates the capacities and the ability of the province adding that in case security restores in Afghanistan, the region and the world will also be secure and stable.
Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta called creation of coordination a need of the region and emphasized that with this we can overcome the problems.
According to Dr. Spanta the contemporary terrorism is a horrible process based on suicide and explosions and it has common aims throughout the world.
He added that terrorists are trying to expand their links throughout the world while the government is not cooperating in the international areas and economic expansion to the possible extent.
