Saudi Arabia, Qatar Unite in Call for End to Gaza Humanitarian Crisis

KABUL (BNA): In a joint press conference, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, have issued a joint call for an end to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

During a press conference, both leaders underscored the need for international pressure on Israel to halt the forced displacement of civilians.

This sentiment was echoed by the United Nations Special Rapporteur, who has called for an immediate cessation of civilian casualties in Gaza.

The political group Hamas has reiterated its stance of refusing to enter negotiations with Israel.

However, they have expressed willingness to engage in discussions if the prospect of a permanent ceasefire is on the table.
Recent reports indicate a surge in violence in various parts of Gaza.

The death toll, which includes Palestinians and others, has tragically risen to 16,242 and continues to climb.
