Kabul (BNA) On Apr 30.2016 the 5th round of awareness giving on Gender and national work plan was organized and held by the Gender department of the MoIC with financial cooperation of JCCP and the MoWA in the International Press Center.
Talking on the goal and active and effective role of women, the head of Gender Department, Mahbooba Saadat said, “the goal behind this program is pursuance ad following implementation of national work plan for women in the MoIC.
In this event 25 key officials of this ministry including the representatives of media like The Kabul Times, Anis, Hewad and BNA had attended.
Touching on awareness giving on the women rights, Saadat said awareness giving on the women rights through media is an effective step in illumination of public mentality and arranging of current program is valuable step. She appreciated J.C.C.P support for learning programs and asked their further cooperation and support in this direction.
Talking on the previous meetings, the General Trainer of the MoWA Sema Qazizadah said in the first meeting explanation were given on the work plan, in the second meeting discussion took place on the regulation of prohibition of gender harassment, in the third meeting discussion took place on the articles of labor law and women support measures and in the fourth meeting discussion took place on the current challenges.
Shortages have relatively been removed and fortunately in the MoIC there was no gender disturbance.
Gulrokh Badakhshani trainer of the MoWA said the goal behind this workshop is discussion on the implementation of work plan for Afghan women based on relevant indexes. The MoIC has various programs. The problems marked in the last four meetings, were discussed and solutions were found in this meeting by the participants.
legal advisor of J.C.C.P Sayed Mujtaba Sadat said the J.C.C.P carries activities on the gender awareness giving and gender mixing, gender equality and justice, discrimination in work place, laws on labor, gender related problems and challenges in departments etc.
Ziauddin Lodin and Mujtaba Sadat provided, information on gender equality and justice in department, challenges ahead of women in the MoIC, high, medium and low level management problems and solutions as well as national work plan for Afghan women.
