KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) At least 9 armed oppositions were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Kandahar province this morning.
The clashes took place, while group of Taliban fighters were transferring weapons to unknown area in Arghandab district of the province.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA reporter, the insurgents while transferring weapons have been targeted in Arghandab district, in which 9 of them were killed.
According to another report, a weapon depot of Taliban militants have been discovered in Maiwand district of Kandahar.
Several heavy and light weapons, bombs and suicide vests have been seized from the depot, a security source said.
