Attack On Police In Helmand A Mistake Shouldn’t Have Happened, CE Abdullah

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah the Council of Ministers (CMs) held meeting on Monday, the CE office said in a statement.
At the outset, CE Dr. Abdullah condemned the Kabul blast which left 24 people killed and 42 wounded and wished great paradise to the martyrs of the incident and immediate recovery to those wounded, the statement further said.  Pointing at security and political situation, Dr. Abdullah said we should stay together to fight our enemy, the statement added. Talking on police casualties in Badakhshan and Helmand provinces, CE Abdullah said that airstrike on police in Helmand was a mistake which should not have happened, the statement continued. He added such attacks should be prevented in the future. He said that a joint investigation into the incident was underway for the “facts to be cleared to our compatriots.” In the meeting, Dr. Abdullah said the people were not satisfied with the current situation and they have the right to be so.
Minister of interior briefed about security situation during the meeting, adding the enemy has recently intensified attacks on Faryab and Ghor provinces and the Afghan security forces could successfully push them back in cooperation with local people. He added the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have already been dispatched to Badakhshan to suppress the enemy. After hearing the report on security situation, Dr. Abdullah instructed the security entities particularly the ministries of interior and defense to defeat the terrorist in Kohistanat and Tyora districts in Faryab and Ghor.
