Kabul (BNA) Due to the proposal of the ministry of information and culture and the approval of the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, any journalist who martyrs or sustains injuries during performing his/her duty, the government financially assists his/her ancestors.
Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen the minister of information and culture said, the design of this assistance has been prepared and after obtaining the advice and opinion of the ministries of work and social affairs and finance, the issue will be proposed to the council of ministers.
Dr. Raheen added, according to the prepared design, the family of any journalist who martyrs during performing the duties, until his/her smallest child reaches; the legal age will receive the economic aid from the state.
