Kabul (BNA) Four women including a child martyred and at least 16 civilians were wounded in an explosion that targeted a bus in Kabul city on Monday afternoon, Kabul police said in a statement.

The blast occurred around 3:50 pm local time in Dahan-e-Bagh area after a bus struck a mine, the statement said. “The victims have been transferred to the hospital,” it said. The statement did not provide further details about the blast.

Sources said that the bus was carrying the employees of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.  No group including the Taliban immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.

Both explosions targeted vehicles and “all the victims were civilians,” according to security sources.
