Problems of West Zone Traders Assessed

Kabul (BNA) Some of the traders from the west zone met with Muhammad Karim Khalili Second Vice-President and Chairman of the Economic Committee of Council of Ministers asking for addressing their problems of standard norms of petroleum products.
At this meeting Khan Jan Alakozai Deputy Chairman of Chambers of Commerce and Industries, the traders of the west zone, touching on the petroleum that is imported into Afghanistan said that the implementation of the new standards norms, without giving time, have inflected heavy losses to the traders.
They asked the government that at least two months’ time should be given to the traders importing petroleum so that they can align contracts, buying of petroleum as per the newly devised standard norms.
They also complained over shortage of means for testing and controlling of the imported petroleum products calling the process as very different for them and stressed that this has caused that petroleum tankers remain on the line for days for testing and controlling and this of course cause losses to the traders.
Khalili considering the demands of the west zone traders and the importance of implementing standard norms said that the government will provide two months deadlines for the traders through economic committee of the Council of Ministers.
He also called shortage of controlling and testing means a serious problem and added that the government will strive to accelerate the process and to prevent the loss of time of the national traders.
