CM Endorses Buying Fuel Items To Keep Stabilize The Prices

Kabul (BNA) The periodical meeting of Council of Ministers (CM) with president Karzai on the chair was held in Arg yesterday. BNA reported, at the outset of the meeting, the president noted that due to presidential elections, the performances of ministries and government bodies have slowed down recently which prompted the citizens to complain.
After comprehensive debates of the ministries and government bodies, the council of ministers instructed all government entities to fulfill their daily responsibilities without any delay and those at the helm of ministries were asked to monitor the performances of subordinate regularly.
Later, the minister for rehabilitation and rural development and deputy to counter emergency state briefed the meeting about the CM decision dates 22-2-1393 on allotment of 500 acres land in Argo district of Badakhshan province for settling those affected by landslide in Barik Aab village of the district.
The CM approved the proposal in principle, tasking the counter emergency committee to begin the initial work of the plan as per sketch and the local organs directorate has the responsibility to complete the process of allotment of the land within three weeks through Badakhshan provincial authority. The minister for commerce and industries presented his report about buying 10,000 tons petrol, 10,000 tons diesel and 10,000 tons liquid gas to stabilize the prices in bazar and the proposal was endorsed.
In the meeting, acting justice minister, in line with the decision of CM meeting on 19-3-1393 presented his report on integration of water supplying and canalization firm to Kabul Municipality, saying the firm had in past operated as government entity and based on the CM decision has changed to government company with specific manifesto.
He also noted that unfortunately the canalization section of the firm has not included in the company’s manifesto.
Moreover, in line with the presidential decree, these companies have been approved as budgeted units which have undermined the routine operations.
The Council of Ministers has tasked the general assembly of water supplying and canalization which covers finance ministry, economy ministry, urban development ministry, Kabul Municipality, environment directorate and water supplying and Canalization Company to prepare report on the effectiveness of the water supply and Canalization Company within week and submit to the CM meeting.
The memorandum of understanding inked between institute for diplomacy of the foreign ministry and diplomacy academy of Azerbaijan, agreement signed between the ministry for communication and information technology and Eutelsat Company of France for launching Afghan Sat 1 and the bilateral agreement on custom services between Afghanistan and Tajikistan were also discussed at the meeting of Council of Ministers.
