Kabul (BNA) More than 13 armed oppositions were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Kandahar province.
The militants have been targeted last night and this morning in various parts of Kandahar province.
Top commander of Afghan National Army in Atal army corps told BNA reporter, over 13 insurgents were killed and four more were wounded during the clashes.
The rebels were involved on organizing a series of terrorists and destructive activities that targeted by Afghan security personnel, the source added.
Also, 11 round of different type of mines have been discovered and defused by Afghan security troops in different parts of Kandahar province.
By discovering and confiscating the mines several bloodiest incidents have been prevented.
No individual or group has commented about the mine plantings yet.
