VP Danesh Visits Mawlana Jalaluddin Balkhi’s Mausoleum

Kabul (BNA) During his trip to Turkey, Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh separately visited Mawlana Jalaluddin Balkhi and Shams-e-Tabrizi mausoleums, BNA reported the other day.
Mawlana Jalaluddin Balkhi also known as Mawlavi had been a great poet of 7th century AH.  On 604 AH, he was born in Afghanistan’s Balkh, according to the agency.
Based on a story, he went to Baghdad from Balkh and after that, he went to Makah and after performing hajj, he left there for Levant.  On an invitation of Alauddin Qayqubat Saljuqi, Mawlana went to Konya and he stayed there until death.
Mawlana’s meeting with Shams Tabrizi that is being recognized as an historical event taken place in 642 AH.
Mawlawi passed way in 672 AH in Konya.
His poetry is often divided into various categories:  the quatrains (Rubayat) and odes (Ghaal) of the divan, the six books of the Masnavi.  His major work is Masnavi Manavi (spiritual couplets) , a six-volume poem collection.
Mawlawi’s major work is the Diwan-e-Kabir or Diwan Shams-e-Tabrizi.
According to Konya deputy governor, since Mawlana’s Khanaqa has been in Balkh and his mausoleum in Konya, a sisterhood agreement has already been signed between Konya and Balkh.
VP Danesh said, ‘However, thought and personality of Mawlana has been recognized worldwide, but he is a sustainable share point between Afghanistan and Turkey.’
He and his accompanied delegation also looked round the mausoleum.
