Hamas and Israel Reach Four-Day Peace Agreement

KABUL (BNA): According to Israeli officials, their military cabinet has agreed on a four-day ceasefire with the Hamas movement in Gaza.

During this period, both sides are expected to exchange several prisoners with each other. In this exchange of prisoners, Israel will release 150 Palestinians, including women and children, and Hamas will release 50 Israelis who are prisoners in Gaza.

The ceasefire includes some other conditions, such as permission to transport the wounded to foreign countries and the release of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

It is worth noting that there are currently 8,200 Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli prisons, 3,000 of whom were arrested during the ongoing war.

Also, hundreds of Israelis, including soldiers, are imprisoned in the prisons of the Hamas movement.

The war between the Hamas movement and the Israeli occupation began on the 7th of October, and according to official information, 14,100 Palestinians have been killed and more than 30,000 have been injured. In this war, the Israeli side also suffered heavy personal and financial losses.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the announcement of this ceasefire does not mean the end of the war and after the specified period, he will once again start the war against the Hamas.

According to reports, the ceasefire was announced by the mediation of Qatar and the United States, and humanitarian aid will also be sent to Gaza during it.

Qatari officials have said that the ceasefire will be in effect for 24 hours after the announcement.
