149 Public Utility Projects Executed In Nangarhar

Jalalabad City (BNA) At a cost of more than AFN 174,812,000 funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) 149 welfare projects were recently implemented in eastern Nangarhar province.
The projects completed in various districts of Bati Koot, Behsoud, Hasarak, Khogyani, Koot, Koz Kunar, Mohmand Dara, Pacheragam, Roudat, Shirzad and Shinwari.
According to information of relation and publication department of MRRD to BNA, these development projects included the construction of water canals, protection walls, agriculture water supply, culverts, retaining walls, hydroelectricity water dams, pathways and excavation of water wells with hand pumps.
Approximately, 17000 families in various communities have gained access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Nangarhar province, the National Solidarity Program has been covered 1850 villages and able to execute 5183 development projects in different sectors throughout the province.
