Twenty-Seven Taliban Militants Killed In Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) At least 27 Taliban insurgents were killed and four others injured during clearing operation launched in relevant areas of Shah WaliKot district of Kandahar province.
Zia Durani spokesman of security command of Kandahar province said BNA reporter, Afghan security forces since two days conducting joint military operation in various parts of Shah Walikot district of the province, in which 27 militants were killed and five other were wounded.
Durani added, during the operation most areas have been cleared from existence of Taliban militants in the district and the operation ongoing until the full cleanup of the district from rebels.
He said, some weapons and ammunitions have been seized during the operation by Afghan security forces.
There were no any harms and casualties incurred to Afghan security forces and civilians in the operation.
It is mentionable that with cleanup of Shah Walikot district from insurgents, Kandahar-Urozgan highway that was closed due to insecurity, to be open again.
