Dr. Abdullah, Czech Republic FM Discuss Enhancing Trade Ties // FM Rabbani Praises Czech Republic’s Support to Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met Tomas Petoieek, Czech Republic Minister of Foreign Affairs in his office on Thursday, a statement said.
Welcoming Czech FM, Dr. Abdullah thanked Czech Republic’s support and cooperation with Afghanistan.  Hinting to the Czech Security Forces’ role in training and advising of the Afghan forces, the Chief Executive said Afghan forces were leading most of the war on terror combats in Afghanistan, the statement from CE press office said yesterday.
Meanwhile Czech FM pointed to responsible withdrawal of the Resolute Support mission’s forces from Afghanistan, saying his country willing to bolster bilateral trade ties with Afghanistan.
The Chief Executive welcomed Czech Republic’s will for trade ties and instructed council of ministers’ secretariat to follow the matter with line ministries.
According to another report, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomas Petroieek in his office on Thursday, the MoFA said in a statement.
Hinting to sacrifices of the Czech Republic’s military forces in Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Rabbani said that Czech Republic was a good friend of Afghanistan.  He added that the training of the Afghan pilots in the Czech Republic have been of vital significance in the current situation and appreciated the help and support of the Czech Republic particularly the presence of that country’s forces within the framework of ISAF and RS mission in Afghanistan.  Briefing on the European countries’ commitments to Afghanistan particularly that of the Czech Republic’s, FM Petoieek reiterated the implementation of those commitments.
The two sides discussed the up[coming Presidential Elections, bilateral cooperation, the peace talks, international community’s commitments to Afghanistan in the past peace process and the presence of international forces for fighting terrorism in Afghanistan.
