Kandahar (BNA) Thirty-three Taliban insurgents were killed in the latest fighting in Kandahar.
The fighting took place last night in Panjwai, Zheri and Arghandab districts following a group of attackers attacked on security forces bases.
Special Operations Corps official told BNA the insurgents were targeted by air and ground forces attack.
The military official confirmed that 33 Taliban insurgents killed and several others wounded in the fighting.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
According to another report, the security troops prevented a series of explosions in Kandahar by detecting and neutralizing thirty-nine mines.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
