Herat (BNA) A series of explosions in Herat province were prevented by detecting and defusing 38 mines.
The police forces discovered and defused 38 mines from busy roads this morning.
Most of the mines were discovered in Shindand and Kashk-e-Robat-e-Sangi districts, where the Taliban have recently increased their presence and activity.
Zafar Army Corps media office said in a statement that the Taliban tried to set a series of explosions on militaries and civilians by planting mines, but not succeeded to their evil goals.
