President Ghani Accepts Danish, Canadian New Ambassadors’ Credentials

Kabul (BNA) In a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan accepted the credentials of the Danish newly-appointed ambassador to Kabul, the presidential press office said in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani was also present in the ceremony, during which President Ghani while thanking Denmark for its cooperation with Afghanistan in different fields congratulated assignment of the Danish new ambassador to Kabul and wished him success. For his part, Danish new ambassador to Kabul expressed glad on his new assignment in Afghanistan, adding he will spare no effort to boost ties between the two countries.
According to another report, in a separate meeting held at the Presidential Palace, President Ghani accepted the credentials of the Canadian newly-appointed ambassador to Kabul, during which both sides exchanged views on further strengthening and bolstering relations of the two countries.
In the meeting, Canadian ambassador to Kabul promised to do his best to further tighten relations between the two countries during his mission to Afghanistan.
